Alix carried out a complete redesign and rebranding of The Oak, a well-known Notting Hill pub.
While the project transformed both the interiors and the identity of the venue, care was taken to preserve the spirit of the original pub and the familiarity that had made it such a local institution.
The redesign sought to retain the essence of The Oak, including its recognisable colour and character, while giving the space a stronger and more distinct point of view. On the ground floor, Alix introduced a custom tiled central bar to restore the convivial feel of a traditional pub and shift the balance of the space back towards drinking, gathering and atmosphere.
Upstairs, the space was reimagined as a cocktail lounge with a DJ booth, piano, stage for live music and a private dining room. The façade was also redesigned as part of the wider rebranding.
The result is a lively neighbourhood destination that feels both familiar and renewed. somewhere people come for dinner and stay late into the night.
